Culminating Leadership Projects

Apply leadership skills by inspiring change in your home community.

While at Alzar School, students develop a project to improve their home communities. These Culminating Leadership Projects (affectionately known as “CLPs”) allow graduates to demonstrate the leadership skills they learned at Alzar School and make a difference in the world.

Example CLPs

Designed at Alzar, executed at home

Our alums return to their home communities ready to be leaders, and one way they can demonstrate that is through their CLP. These projects are designed such that the project coordinates the efforts of a group of people (the "action team"), is meaningful and unique to the student who designs the project, and benefit a group of people or addresses an issue in the community to which the student belongs. For CLPs, students avoid solo work or volunteer hours at an organization and efforts that would benefit only one individual or business. The Culminating Leadership Projects are entirely student-driven, starting the journey of young people turning ideas into action and leading change in their communities.
